Home Sweet Home...

What a feeling! Now I can finally relax!
Braxtyn had her follow up doctors appointment this morning and all looks good.
She still jerks here & there in her sleep but no long episodes
like she had last Thursday.

I couldn't pick between these pictures so i thought i would put them both on.
I took these this morning with a different camera lens so i didn't know
how they would turn out. But i have a beautiful model!
Wednesday (last week) my camera lens broke. So that is why i haven't been able to put
pictures on here. My wonderful-soon-to-be brother-in-law found the part on-line and
it will be here next week! Wahoo.
The funny things our dear son is saying....

Jermaine is not letting us forget that he is our first love!
He is also growing up so fast before our eyes! We cant believe he is going to be 2
this weekend.

So we landed at the Atlanta airport around 9 but by the time we got to our car it was close to
11 pm and all we could think about
was getting to the closest Chick-fil-a before midnight!
So we stopped at the first one in Dunwoody which was the very first Chick-fil-a!
We couldn't believe what we found!
So we got our meals and Jermaine was just way to tired and was not interested in
his Delicious chicken nuggets.
So we packed it up in our mini van :)
and I'm strapping him in trying to convince him that he needs to eat and talking to him about
his chicken nuggets...and he looks at me and points "Mom get in the car, Mom get in"
I guess i was embarrassing him and he was ready to go!

He talkes to Braxtyn like we talk to Braxtyn so he goes to her and says "Hi baby sister ohhh baby sister
your soooo cute baby Braxtyn" Then today he said "Baby sister is boring"
(which of course we never said) then he
thought about it and said "Actually shes ok"
Yes he has been saying Actually and in the right form.
Then he heard daddy saying "she is trouble" and he goes up to her and says
"Braxtyn your trouble"
then
"Braxtyn you have cheeseburgers in your nose"

It is so much fun hearing what Jermaine has to say next! He is defiantly excited to
be a big brother!

A bump in the road...

To make a very long story short, we brought
Braxtyn into the Childrens Hospital here in Atlanta on Thursday. She was
diagnosed with a benign tremor. There is a fancier word for it but I cant think
of it at the moment. She does these jerks
in her sleep & on Thursday she has a really bad episode that lasted about a minute.
They kind of look like little seizures.
But after 24 hrs of tests & scans the neurologist told us her brain was fine during
these jerks. So its something we just really need to watch and
she will grow out of them hopefully sooner then later.
So we got discharged from the hospital Friday around 2pm.
This was really hard and emotional but i knew God wanted us on are knees
so we were. There were so many other dear children in pain, Braxtyn wasnt
in any pain (pain but uncomfortable pain, just from all the leads on her head and iv stuff)
I felt so awful for those children and their parents.
We got to leave and they are still there.
We got answers and most of them dont.
I truly feel so blessed that God answered our prayers. I will never forget
hearing the cries of babies and parents. Every time I think of this experience, I feel
like God is calling me again to my knee for their sack not mine.

So Praise the Lord we are heading home tonight! SO EXCITED!!!

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever."
Psalm 118:1

Good Morning!

Nathan and Jermaine went off to Target to get some pool toys so i
quick grabed a couple pictures before they left. Jermaine loves holding Braxtyn and keeps
saying, "ohhh soo cute sister, ohh baby sister"
I just love that she is smiling in this one! Jermaine kept
talking to her! it was so sweet!

Done with my bottle! She is quite the snacker...9-11:30 to drink 3oz!
long night but i loved every sec!

We are proud to welcome...

Braxtyn Paige Zoerink

What an amazing day we have had! Just got back here to the hotel and
quick took some pictures before Nathan swooped her up and
is now laying with her and Jermaine for nap time.
She is too cute and sooo tiny! Jermaine is doing great with her but he really likes her binkys
we brought her so i think he's alittle jealous.

Holding her for the first time! All i could think about is how Great our God is!
Such an amazing experience!

This is Sara, her and her beautiful family took care of Braxtyn until we got here! What an awesome family! Thank you so much again Sara for all the love you gave her and us!

I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart.
And the peace i give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid.
John 14:27

This verse means everything to me! It has been close to my heart the last couple weeks!

So please rejoice with me!
I got a call yesterday from the FBI saying are fingerprints are done and we
should have them by Wednesday!! I just love how faithful God is! I never had a doubt we
would get them, I just really wanted them this week!
So Nathan made flight arrangements for this Saturday...We leave Seattle at 1:35pm and get
into Atlanta at 9:35 pm....We will get settled into our hotel and then
on Sunday morning we can do placement and get our little girl!

I have been talking with the family who is taking care of her and couldn't be more at peace
with this whole thing!
Our baby girl is there 44th baby they have taken care of! Sara (the mom) and
her husband have 3 adopted kids of there own through
An Open Door agency! So they know
exactly how everything works!
I talked to her on the phone yesterday and got to here our baby in the background...
which melted my heart! She is doing great! Sara did have to bring her into the doctors
yesterday because of some acid reflex, so she got put on rice formula and is
doing amazing!

This whole process is so humbling and I love having no control of anything
because it truly means God has control and will move us
in his timing!
Thank you all for all your prayers and support!
I will post pictures and her name (which is killing me as i type this i cant just
put her name down :)
when we get there!
Blessings to you all!
