Our 80 degree Thanksgiving

For the last 4 years we have spent

thanksgiving in Palm Springs with

Nathans family!

Every year is tons of fun, filled with
great family time and
AMAZING food (yummy Mexican) and the weather

has been decent...

Until this year! We had high 70s and low 80s!

 It was so great!

Jermaine had so much fun in the pool

with his daddy, aunts and uncles!
Braxtyn on the other hand wasn't to sure if she
liked it...She didn't last very long.
The first day she was only in the pool for about 20 min.
I put sunscreen on her and she had a hat on the
entire time and she still got tan lines!

I would have to say Jermaine favorite thing was going
on golf cart rides (especially with his grandpa (paka)
He still tells me everyday how they saw a toad on the bunny trails
and then the sprinklers went off so they
had to turn the wipers on in the golf cart!

Dear uncle Lukey (as Jermaine calls him)

played "Jet ski"

(He even made the sounds)

We love you uncle Lukey!

So every year we have a scavenger hunt.

The first year it was just our family (zoerinks)

split into two teams.

Then the 2nd year we asked the Jansens and Kenners

if they would like to partake in our tradition.

And they all quickly jumped on board!

Let me tell you...

this is a very intense scavenger hunt

INTENSE!!!

 We had to make new rules

and this year went a lot smoother!

hahah

Kathy Jansen and Nathan were the judges

and they did amazing!

SO MUCH FUN!!!

Yes it was SOOOOOO hard to come home!

Its Official!!!

Today we finalized Braxtyns adoption!

Wahoooo it's done!

No more paper work!

Praise the Lord!

We have been so lucky with both adoptions that

nothing has slowed down the process!

Thank you Lord!!

So its official now!!

 (not that it feels any different)

Some people would make today a very big deal

and not saying it isn't but she has always

felt like ours...

 But yes, I guess now nobody

(birthparents or extended family in GA)

can do anything about getting her back.

She is now and forever (until she gets married...ahhhh)

 Usually people go in a court room but we just went in the judge's office...

We did that for Jermaine's adoption too.

We just say whatever is quicker! All that work and it only took like 5 min!

Pumpkin Patch....

Last Tuesday we went out to Boxx's with our friends

Shannon and Sawyer.

Jermaine just loves Sawyer and was telling him

the whole time to not walk in the mud.

Which was so adorable...such a big brother!

They both weren't in the most smiley moods

(you will be able to tell from the photos)

Braxtyn didn't make one peep.

She loves being outside and on the go!

Getting ready...all bundled up!

We tried to hard for a smile...and this is what we got.

Jermaine did get excited though when he saw a "Caterpillar"

and no, I don't mean the animal.

He LOVES construction!

We didn't even tell them to hold hands!

They are so sweet!

Yes, she feel asleep!

I couldn't believe it. It was so cold

and there were people all around!

I keep thinking about this journey

God is taking us on and I am in awe!

I am so blessed!

So Braxtyn went in last week for her 4 month visit

and she is

13 pounds (40%)

25.5 inch long (85%)

We couldn't believe the length & weight... She's such a peanut.

They must have measured her hair too!

Story Time!

Jermaine LOVES books...I mean LOVES!

We could spend all day reading books!

He has sooo many book memorized he reads them to us!

So now that he has a little sister...he insists she joins us for story time. 

He even makes her feel the fussy things on the page.

 Braxtyns not too impressed...

Potty Training is still going pretty good...

I know it will take a little bit.

It's just hard going out and having people over

because thats when he will have an accident!

He gets so distracted and excited!

But he is good at telling me he has to go!

So yes Nathan jumped the gun and had promised him

something special if he learned how to go in the potty.

So here is what he got....

Our sweet beautiful dog Dawson...Who doesn't make it on here

near as much as he should!

He is soooo special to us! All the way from PA!

What have we been up to??

hmmm a lot! We are finally somewhat healthy.

Even though Jermaine woke up with a runny nose this morning

but that's nothing compared to what my dear

 husband has all been through.

He is doing great though! Knee and Allergy stuff are

all in tip top shape!...Finally!

We started potty training Jermaine Labor day

weekend...Yes it was LABOR. He is doing really good

though. Braxtyn is doing great. We have her 4 month check up

next Tuesday, so I'm really excited to see how much she weighs.

hahah it wont be much!

She is defiantly teething. Constantly sucks on everything

she can reach. She gets so excited when Jermaine's around playing with her.

He can make her laugh so hard! So can her daddy!
